Late last year we visited Pamukkale in Turkey. The name means “cotton castle” in Turkish and you can see why in the photos below. People have bathed in these thermal waters since ancient times and they remain beautiful and strange. A recommended stop-over if you find yourself in Turkey!

Ballooning in Cappadocia, Turkey is an exhilarating experience. One hundred balloons set off together at dawn and proceed over a series of wonderfully surreal rock formations. We definitely recommend this if you happen to visit Turkey!
